Synterra was selected as the seismic project manager for the planning and execution of a 600 km² 3D seismic survey in the Cooper Basin, South Australia.
Planning commenced in September 2018. The scope of work included management of the design, procurement, environmental, heritage and regulatory consents. Approvals were completed in 78 days and the project was completed in early April 2019.
Terrex Seismic were engaged to acquire the data using the DTCC Smart Solo nodal system for data recording and AHV-IV 60,000 lb vibrators as the energy sources. The project achieved the aim of providing the client a cost-effective, high quality dataset.
